In our country political communities do two things in a beautiful way.First, to make controversial to a man of national importance and then inflam the same controversy for the purpose of political mileage or benefit.Desparate efforts have been made to victimise the personality of the RSS leader or second Sar Sangh Chalak Madhav Rao Sadashiva Rao Golwalkar.Godse was accused of the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi , father of the nation but Shri Golwalkar was arrested as a conspirator from Nagpur, the RSS Office on 1st February 1948 at midnight hour and the RSS was banned.Blaming someone or an organization is one thing and proving it with evidence is another thing. Gradually time passed away; social unrest and upheaval caused by partition and Gandhi's assassination subsided and it was proved that RSS was not involve in Gandhi's assassination.Golwalkar had been arrested on charges that were found to be completely baseless .On11thJuly1948 the restrictions imposed on the RSS were lifted and the RSS chief was released from the jail. Following Indo-China war the then prime minister Pt.Neharu invited the RSS volunteers in full dress with bands (घोष) to participate in the1963 Republic Day Parade .
Gradually the RSS was recognized on national platform because of its positive work.Under the leadership of a non political organisation the movement of cultural nationalism was started and still proceeding in forward direction with the aim of Param Vaibhav Sampanna Rashtra(परम् वैभव संपन्न राष्ट्र).Now the RSS has become the world's largest organisation . Madhava Rao Sadashiva Rao Golwalkar has played significant role to spread the ideology and works of the RSS nationaly .Even today, unfortunately the name of then the RSS head is forcibly in the center of Gandhi's assassination discourse.
Indeed ,what is the scale of greatness?After pondering we come to know that the length of one's shadow on future can determine one's greatness.Naturally the greatness of Golwalkar can be measured on behalf of his noble works and present structure of the RSS.The renowned literary personality and journalist Khushwant Singh has talked in detail about his interview with Golwalkar in 'Illustrated Weekly of India 'and has admitted that the meeting has resolved a lot of confusions .When Khushwant Singh begged Guruji's permission to go after interview ,the latter held his hands and did not allow the former to touch his feet.At the end of the article Khushwant Singh wrote:"Was I influenced by him?"Then he replied to himself:"Yes,I was influenced by him".The remark of Khushwant Singh speaks a lot and simultaneously gives a message to all the critics of Guruji.The basis of Propaganda against Guruji is a book entitled 'We,or Our Nationhood Defined ' published in 1939.Actually there are some rituals in Indian Politics without which political ceremony remain incomplete.To declare an organization or a particular person communal is the part of that ritual.Once upon a time the former Prime Minister Shri Chandrashekhar was speaking in the Parliament and quoting the text of this book that -Hitler has told us the way of purity of race which is understandable and adoptable for India.Minority wouldn't have the right of citizenship,there is mentioned that they will live as guests in our country by the permission of majority people otherwise they must go outside.L. K.Advani(the then Home Minister) informed the House as well as the nation that the author has detached himself and disowns the content .If the author denies and disowns the controversial portion of the text is it just to make the book and author controversial on the same ground?
Guruji said good bye to this mortal world on 5th June 1973.Having worked for thirty three years continuously he made a dying declaration on piece of paper which was discovered before volunteers after his death.It was mentioned on the paper that a constant competition is in our country to be a big name ,I am alive so how can get position and prestige and after death how to establish own statue is the basic concern of people, that's why no need to make my monument where people do work to fulfil their lust and temptation.At the end these words of Guruji give information about his noble deeds, service oriented personality without temptation of name fame and glory.The remembrance of such a kind of personality will be a true tribute to him.

Undoubtedly Guru Ji was a great patriotic ideologue. The life of Guru Ji was within itself epitome of sacrifice ,simplicity and inspiration. And the saga of it has been put by Dr. Mishra very succinctly but in toto. Certainly Dr.Mishra has bee an eloquent writer as well as orator. ReplyDeleteHaving gone through the above content ,I have come to know that Guruji was a saintly and philanthropist . Because of his noble deeds ,he shall always remain alive spirully and mentally within the mind and heart of the people.His glory shall never fade away like all'the great people.
